Just looking up Al and found this. Sounds like he had a great life. I worked with him for years at Carl Karchers and we were good friends. Hello to all the family too and my condolences.

Dear Paula and family, My heartfelt condolences for your loss. Al was a wonderful man. I had the pleasure of working in the Accounting Dept at CKE with him for many years until he retired. He came to see us a little while back and we hugged him with joy in seeing him again. I know he's in good hands now with Jesus. You're all in my thoughts & prayers during this very sad time

Dear Paula and family,
On behalf of my children, I want to send our condolences for your loss of our Uncle Al. We had many years of friendship for our dad, Don Place and Al DeShano. They were little children together and our next generation got to enjoy being little children together as well. Enclosed is a picture from the summer of 1962.

Dear Paula and Family,
I was greatly saddened to hear of Al's passing. His kindness and integrity were always much appreciated. I also enjoyed the time I was able to spend with Al and Paula over the years. They were always classy and delightful, one of the few things I've truly missed from my CKE years.
Love and prayers to you all,
Laura

I worked with Al for 10 years at Carl's in the nineties and he was the best boss that I can remember. We played golf on Thursdays after work with a bunch of the gang and I remember the birthday gift you gave him to fly the Bomber and when he was Alvin the Chipmunk for our accounts payable department at the company talent show.He had so much life and joy to give to everyone. I lost my mother in January so I can feel your pain and know your love. my prayers and my heartfelt condolences go out to all of you.

You all will remain in our prayers during this difficult time. What a blessing it was 25 years ago when I got to meet Al & Paula! It was always a huge joy to get to see you here in Houston! Al was a kind, gentle and very generous man... I will miss him. These are the times it is nice to be part of a big loving family!
I'm sorry I will miss the service, but, we are all sending big hugs and love to you all.

Dear Paula, Bob, Ken, Kathy, Dan and Steve- I am praying for you all and may the peace of Al in heaven bring you great comfort in this difficult time. I had the pleasure of seeing him at Aubrey's graduation and although he was a man of few words, you could see the love he had for his family in his eyes. It was obvious, that just his presence in the room, seemed to make everything complete for all that loved him! I know he will be greatly missed and you all are in our prayers.
