Edward Dumon, of Santa Ana, passed away Jan. 2, 2017 at the age of 87. Ed was born Sept. 11, 1929 in Detroit. He was married to his wife Addie for 68 years; they met in the Garden Grove High School band. He was in the Navy at the end of World War II deployed on the USS President Jackson. He began his career as a power dispatcher for Edison for 10 years, then was Superintendent of Operations for City of Anaheim Water and Power for 26 years. He took pride in being the one that “energized” Disneyland for the first time, during its construction in 1955. He is survived by sister Janet Rose, wife Addie, sons Jim and Tom, daughters Debbie and Dori, six grandchildren and six great-children. The Dumon family thanks Brown’s Mortuary for their excellent services provided to our family members over the years. Services at Christ Cathedral, Garden Grove, Friday, Jan. 13 at 11:00 am.
