In Loving Memory of Yvonne Polanco August 8, 1967 – July 3,2025
Yvonne Polanco was born in Los Angeles, California, the eldest of five
siblings. A natural leader from the start, she cared deeply for her family and
carried herself with strength and grace. She attended Saint Simon and Jude
Catholic School and later graduated from El Toro High School, where she
discovered a love for running and athletics.
Yvonne earned her degree from UC Irvine and went on to fulfill her dream
of becoming a police officer, proudly serving with the LAPD—a role she
cherished deeply. Alongside her service, she also pursued modeling and
embraced her elegant side.
Though she did not have children, Yvonne had a deep love for animals,
especially her beloved dog Atlas, who survives her. She had a generous
spirit, often opening her home to pets and helping loved ones whenever
she could.
Yvonne was loyal, strong-willed, and deeply giving. She faced life’s
challenges with courage and will be remembered for her fierce heart,
devotion to family, and love of her fur babies. She is now reunited in
heaven with her sister Monica and will forever be in our hearts.
