The Celebration of the Life of Wanda Pearl Burnell-Scott
Our beloved sister and Pastor Wanda Pearl Burnell-Scott was born in Camden, Arkansas on August 18, 1954 to Perry and Algerine Burnell. Wanda was the last of ten children born to the Burnell Family. Wanda moved to Atwater, California in August of 1957 along with her mother and two of her brothers James and Johnnie Ray Burnell. Later that year they moved to Oakland, California where she attended Franklin Elementary School.
In 1963 she and her family moved to Santa Ana, California, where she attended Franklin Elementary School, Smedley Junior High, and Valley High School from which she graduated in June 1972.
Wanda lived life to the fullest. She always had a smile on her face. Wanda is the mother of Jermaine Jones of Anaheim, California, LaToya Scott of Charlotte, North Carolina and David Scott Jr. of Anaheim, California. She was a grandmother to granddaughter MacKenzie and grandson Mason of whom she loved dearly
Wanda loved her children and she made every effort to make sure that they had a good life, she put them in all kinds of academic programs to make sure that they were expose to programs that would give them an advantage in education. She had them enrolled in some of the best schools in Santa Ana, which offered higher learning courses.

Wanda attended Gospel Light Church of God in Christ in Santa Ana, California where she spent the majority of her early church life. As a Pastor, Wanda exhibited a great love for people and as a result many people came to faith in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Wanda passed from this life on January 27, 2021 to join her Heavenly Father who was waiting to receive her along with Mom, Dad her two older Brothers Gene Edward Joshua, and Venus Beasley Burnell who preceded her in death. No more pain, no more suffering, and no more afflictions but unspeakable Joy full of the Glory of God.
