Robert Nelson Taylor, age 81 passed away after a long battle with Parkinsons on Wednesday November 19, 2025 at home in Orange CA surrounded by love in the comforting presence of his daughter Sarah.
Born August 25, 1944 to the late Robert Leslie Taylor and Suzanne Isenor. Robert lived a life defined by hard work devotion to family and a gentle strength. He was preceded in life by his first wife Pamela Taylor and second wife Jody Taylor.
Robert was a loving father to his six children—Thomas Taylor, Trent Taylor, Sarah Taylor, Kimberly Taylor, Jessica Garcia, and Rebecca Taylor—and a proud grandfather to fourteen grandchildren and a cherished great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his brother, James Taylor, his significant other, Ann Scobie and many family members and friends who will forever carry his memory with them.
Robert was the owner of Bob Taylor Carpets, a business he built through dedication, perseverance, and pride in his work.
He found the greatest joy in the quiet rhythms of everyday life—tending to his garden and plants, caring for his animals, and spending time outdoors. His beloved birds, including African greys Cooky and Spooky, his macaw Cracker Jack, and his pigeons and cockatiels, brought him companionship, as did his dogs and his desert tortoise, Tank.
Robert was rarely without a smile. He had a natural ability to find humor in any situation and a kindness that came effortlessly. Many people described him as a very sweet man, someone whose warmth made others feel at ease.
He enjoyed attending Angel baseball games. He cherished time spent at the beach with his family and looked forward to the families annual summer vacation at the Lawrence Welk Resort.
Above all else, Robert loved his children deeply and remained devoted to them throughout his life.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Robert’s life will be held on January 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Brown’s Colonial Mortuary in Santa Ana, California. All who knew and loved him are welcome.
