Robert E Coover passed away on December 13, 2022 at the age of 96 years. Born July 1, 1926 in El Paso,
TX to C. Hartley and Tammie Coover. He was the eighth of ten children. He spent 20 years in the military
(Navy then Army). He worked in the aerospace industry for 25 years. He is survived by his 3 children:
Helga R Coover (Peter Hicks), Robert E Coover Jr (Jodi) and Karl R Coover; six grandchildren, 2 great-
grandchildren, 3 step-children, a brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by
his parents, 9 siblings, first wife Helga Coover, daughter-in-law Veronica Coover, second wife Joann Cass
Coover and stepson Paul Cass.
Visitation will be at 4pm to 8pm & Rosary at 6pm on January 9 th at Brown Colonial Mortuary in Santa
Ana. Funeral Mass will be on January 10th at 10am at St John Neumann Catholic Church in Irvine. He will
be laid to rest at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange. He will be greatly missed by his family.
