Robert Carl Browning

Browning, Robert "Bob" 88, a California Native and resident of Newport Beach passed away peacefully on June 18, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jean C. (Gisler); daughter Kathy (Rich) Cadarette; sons, Tom (Monica), John (Yvonne) and 4 grandchildren, Christen Browning, Kimberly Cadarette, Nicholas Browning and Madison Browning. 

He retired in 1987 after a 30 year career with the Los Angeles Times to pursue his love of golf and enjoy time with his family.  An army veteran who served proudly in Korea, he also served as governor of the service organization Civitan, and as the President of the Glendora Country Club, where he was a long time member.

A visitation will be held from 4PM-6PM, Friday, June 29, 2018 at Brown Colonial Mortuary, Santa Ana. A funeral service will take place at  12:15PM, Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Brown Colonial Mortuary followed immediately by interment at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange.
