Robbie Peterson Obituary

Robbie Clara Peterson was born on September 25, 1939, in Ruleville, MS, to the loving parents of Willie and Tommie Lee Wallace.  She left us unexpectedly to join her lord and savior Jesus Christ on December 11, 2018 at the age of 79. She was the seventh of ten children.

When Clara was 10 years old, the Wallace family relocated to Memphis, TN.  She attended Booker T. Washington high school where she met her high school sweetheart Joseph Jackson Jr.  Under their union, Clara was blessed with two beautiful children Glenis Marie Berry and Joseph Marico Jackson III.

In 1968, Clara and her family relocated to Orange County, California.  She spent most of her career working in the aerospace and defense industry. She was a supervisor at Lockheed Martin in the finance department displaying a wonderful knack for financial planning and analysis. She was organized, detail oriented and embodied the principles of a true servant leader. The beauty of her smile and compassionate spirit was like a magnet that drew many people to her.  Clara retired from Lockheed Martin at age 67. During her retirement she enjoyed life to the fullest through simple pleasures: chatting with friends and family, spending time with her grandkids and great grand kids and being actively involved in her church.

For 48 years, Clara was an active and faithful member of Second Baptist Church (SBC) of Santa Ana. She loved to study her bible, pray for and with others, and praise the Lord with her melodious soprano voice.   Serving on several ministries at Second Baptist, Clara sung in the church choir. She also served as treasurer of the SBC Homeless coalition for many years and was an active member of the Naomi Circle whose mission is to evangelize the gospel in areas outside the USA, bringing the lost, unsaved and unchurched to church. Her Christian walk was as radiant as the flowers she loved and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.

Her blessed life will forever be cherished by: her daughter, Glenis Berry of Riverside, CA; her son, Joseph Jackson III of Buena Park, CA;

Eight (8) grandchildren, Mourice Berry of Buena Park, CA, Eric Berry (Diamond) of Riverside, CA, Woodrow Berry of Riverside, CA, LaTonia Evans of Anaheim, CA, Dionne Jackson of Las Vegas, NV, Joseph Jackson IV of Perris, CA, Miyanda Hanson (Clive) of Germantown, MD, and Jibri Jackson (Brenda) of Corona, CA;

Seventeen (17) great grandchildren Olivia, Shaniece, Jaiden, Kai, Irie, True, Hayden, Avery, Brianna, Dominique, Takari, Victoria, Malik, Marcus, Micah, Isaiah, Noah; with 3 additional blessings coming in 2019;

Her sisters Linnie Morris of Memphis, TN, Laura Henderson of Milwaukee, WS and Earnestine Wallace-Adams (David) of Englewood, NJ;

A host of nieces and nephews cousins; her ex-husband Joseph Jackson Jr, and all of her beloved friends.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Tommie Lee Wallace, two brothers, Willie Wallace Jr. and George D. Wallace and four sisters Maudelle Tipton, Doris Wallace, Jeanette Cloyd, and Mable Wallace-Franklin and her late ex-husband Pete Peterson.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend will forever remain in our hearts and minds with some of the best memories we will ever have.
