Richard "Dick" E. Steffy

It is with deep sadness that the Steffy children announce the passing of their Father
Richard E. Steffy, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather
and wonderful friend to many, on Monday, November 21, 2022.
Dick was born in 1930 to John A. Steffy and Margret McConnell Steffy in Lansing
Michigan. He was brother to Robert and Donald Steffy (both deceased).
He graduated from the University of Detroit in 1954 with a degree in Philosophy. After
graduation he served in both the U.S. Army and the Coast Guard. He went on to work
for General Motors, Inc. before owning his own automobile dealership, Steffy Buick in
Anaheim, CA.
Soon after moving to California, Dick met Rosemary Lesmeister and they were married
in 1957. His beloved wife Rosemary passed away in 2001. Dick and Rosemary had
seven children, Diane Steffy (deceased), Kathy Tillet (Doug), Richard Steffy (Judy), David Steffy (June), Donna Steffy, Karen Goldberg (Robert) and John Steffy (Debbie). Dick is grandfather to 10 children and great grandfather to 4 children.
Dick loved his family more than life itself, he sacrificed and worked hard to provide them
an adventurous and fun life. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his large community of
friends. He made wonderful memories with the congregation at St. Cecilia Catholic
Church in Tustin. He also served as a member of the Anaheim City Council.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, at 11:00, at St. Cecilia Catholic
Church
