Our dear mother, grandmother, and friend, Phyllis, was born on March 22, 1931, and passed peacefully on January 12, 2026, at the age of 94.
Phyllis entered into eternal rest after a long life marked by faith, strength, and love of family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her loving and generous spirit, fierce independence, and incredible resilience. She overcame many challenges throughout her life, beginning with her remarkable premature birth on the family farm in Columbus, Missouri.
In her later years, Phyllis worked as a legal secretary and legal support supervisor for 20 years, a job she truly loved. Above all else, her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was raising her daughter.
Phyllis had a deep appreciation for beauty in all its forms. She loved vibrant colors (especially red), art, architecture, and classical music. She was a talented seamstress with the ability to create beautiful clothes and unique costumes from only a picture. She enjoyed traveling — particularly to Hawaii and taking cruises.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter Linda, son-in-law Kevin, and her beloved grandchildren Nolan, Troy, Brendan, and Seamus.
Phyllis will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
May she rest in peace, and may perpetual light shine upon her.
