Melissa Amanda Hansen, 54, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 21st, 2022 at her residence in Anaheim Hills. She was born on December 4th, 1968, as the third child and first daughter to Harvey and Phyllis Lofquist. Melissa was born in Minneapolis, MN and made a few moves across the country as a child before settling down in Southern California at the age of 10. She resided in Anaheim Hills throughout her childhood, and graduated from Canyon High School in 1987. She ultimately pursued a career as a mortgage lender for 20+ years, started a family and raised her kids in Yorba Linda. She is survived by her mother Phyllis Lofquist, brother Tim Lofquist, and two children Lauren and Cole Hansen. Anybody who knew Melissa knew her children were her pride and joy; the breath that filled her lungs. She enjoyed spending time with them at every sporting event, school event, boating at the river, and riding motorcycles in the desert. Some remember her as the permanent team mom or snack shack coordinator regardless of sport. She loved spending time at the pool, the beach, or just having a movie night at home. Melissa was known for her generous heart and passion about things that were important to her. She always embodied strength and resiliency through life’s struggles. We will not soon forget these things, we will remember her well.
