Mary Maxey Taylor passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026. Born in Los Angeles on March 21, 1935, she was raised by her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Ken Hillman, and graduated from St. Mary's Girls' Academy. Soon after high school, she married the love of her life, Jack Bruce Taylor; they were married over 50 years before his passing. Together they raised four children: Bruce Michael, Sherri Lee, Catherine Sue, and Beverly Ann.
While raising her family, Mary babysat numerous children and later retired as a cafeteria manager for the Tustin Unified School District. She and Jack enjoyed a vibrant life together, including square dancing. After Jack passed, she delighted in taking short train trips with her sister, Carol Page, and visits with Shirley Sanchez.
A lifelong dog lover, Mary will be deeply missed as a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her children, her seven grandchildren, Amber, Brandon, Taylor, Robert, Mary, Sean, and Kendra; and her two great-grandchildren, Hazel and Louis.
