Mary Nedd Obituary

Mary E. Nedd, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, peacefully passed away to go home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the age of 84, after a courageous battle with cancer. She found her eternal peace at UCI Medical Center in the city of Orange.

What she did with her dash 1939 - 2023

Born in Norristown, PA, Mary spent her formative years in Conshohocken, PA, as the firstborn of three children to Jesse and Hester Hayes. Remarkably, she was the only child for 21 years before her siblings came along. Mary called Southern California home for over four decades.

Mary Nedd was a devoted mother of six children: Steven, Arthur, Dennis, Kenneth, Anthony, and Gwendolyn. She also had four cherished grandchildren: Noah, Steven, Joshua, and Michael, as well as one adored great-granddaughter, Quinn. Her husband, Marine Veteran Master Gunnery Sergeant Ronnie Nedd, preceded her in death.

A deep woman of faith, Mary was a God-fearing Christian who held her faith close to her heart. She loved the Lord passionately and showed unwavering love and devotion to her family. Her love for her husband, Ron, was boundless. Mary always spoke of her blessings with gratitude and a sense of purpose.

Mary dedicated her career to working with children with special needs, a role that brought her immense joy. She understood the profound impact she could make on the lives of these children and approached her job with a mission to provide learning, love, and care,

Mary was the nucleus of our universe — a radiant and generous spirit who embodied fun, feistiness, intelligence, and a touch of stubbornness. Her tenacity, boundless love, and vibrant energy were admired and cherished by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She saw life through an optimistic lens, and her infectious smile and laughter could brighten any room. Her family and close friends held an irreplaceable place in her heart.

As a military wife for most of her adult life, Mary had the opportunity to travel the world, residing in places like Germany and Taiwan. She relished life's simple pleasures, such as gardening, shopping, embarking on cruises, attending plays, and exploring new destinations.

Mary E. Nedd will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
