Mary Gonzales Arce

With profound love and heartfelt gratitude, we honor the memory of Mary Arce, who peacefully departed on October 30, 2025, at the remarkable age of 96, surrounded by her adoring daughters and family. Born to Inez and Dolores Gonzales in Sepulveda, California, Mary’s life was a testament to resilience, warmth, and generosity. As a single mother, she lovingly raised six daughters: Inez Campos (Manuel), Ruth Meza (Pedro), Jessie Trejo (Victor), Evelyn Benavides (Rick), Loretta Oropeza (Ray), and Anna Lopez. Her legacy continues through her 22 grandchildren, Carol Burgess, Adriana Campos, Valerie Pina( Frank) Pedro Meza lll( Jacqui) Christina Moore( Jimmy) Eleanor Guilliam( Daniel) Victoria Meza, Alex &Tony Meza, Renee Serna, Yvonne Serna, Steven Serna, Richard Benavides( Adriana), Daniel Benavides(Melissa) Raymond Jr Oropeza (Beatrice) Mathew Oropeza ( Judy) Christina Chang( Dave) Anita Silva, Marcus Silva, Carlos Altamirano, Karina Altamirano and Kevin Altamirano. Her family tree extends to 30 great grandchildren,3 great grandchildren and her surviving siblings Tony Gonzales and Carmen Magallanez. She is also survived by extended Family that she loved dearly.

Mary had a strong devotion to our lady of Fatima, instilling her strong faith in God to her children, and enjoyed going to the first Saturday of each month's Mass with all her daughters. Mary's work ethic spanned over seven decades in the dry-cleaning business, during which she mentored countless new owners and operators. She loved to cook and her exceptional talents in crocheting earned her a first-place ribbon for her beautifully crafted baby blankets. Mary also cherished moments spent playing Loteria with friends, attending Zumba classes, and the visits to the casino to play the slot machines.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Orange Wellness Health Care Center and Westcoast Hospice Care for their compassionate support during this time.
