Marianne Ayers, 78 of Anaheim, California passed away on February 23, 2023 after a long journey with Alzheimer’s. Marianne was born on January 20, 1944 to Arthur and Mary Dinndorf in Santa Ana California. She always had found memories to share of life on Garnsey Street and her many adventures. Marianne graduate from Mater Dei High School and attended Cal State Long Beach where she majored in Microbiology and was active in Sigma Kappa. In 1990, she graduated from Redlands University with her Bachelors in Business Administration. In 1966, Marianne met her lifelong love and partner David Ayers at Cherry Beach in Long Beach while playing volleyball. Never one to shy away from talking to people she introduced herself via a former classmate Jim. Dave and Marianne wed on February 27, 1971. She is survived by Dave and his 1966 Chevy purchased 3 months after they started dating. Marianne was an active part in her community volunteering in her daughters schools, as a Girl Scout Leader and Church Youth Leader. She loved to share her cooking and sewing talents and enjoyed competing at the Orange County Fair. She worked for the phone company (Pacific Bell, SBC and AT&T) for 33 years before retiring. After retiring she and Dave moved to St George Utah where they enjoyed the outdoors and local arts until returning to Anaheim in 2012. Marianne is survived by her loving husband of 51 years David Ayers; her sisters Laura Scolaro; Halycon Koerber (Chris); daughters Hilarie Ayers; Allison Masuda (Maka) and grandsons Ikaika David Masuda and Kapono Markel Masuda.
