Lester Littlejohn Obituary

Lester Ariach Littlejohn
July 9, 1939 – September 24, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lester A. Littlejohn, a beloved husband,
father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Born in Guácimo, Limón, Costa Rica, on July 9, 1939,
Lester lived a rich and fulfilling life that spanned across two countries and touched countless
lives. He went home to be with our Lord Jesus on September 24, 2024, at the age of 85.
Lester’s journey took him from his roots in Costa Rica to California, where he spent much of his
life in Diamond Bar. It was here that he built his career as a dedicated roofer, a trade he
committed himself to with pride and hard work for 25 years. After retiring in 1999, he fulfilled his
lifelong dream of returning to his beloved Costa Rica, where he settled in Barva, Heredia, to
enjoy his retirement in the paradise he cherished, alongside his beloved wife, Sandra.
Lester’s love for soccer was evident throughout his life. He not only played the sport he adored
but also gave back to the community by founding a women's soccer league and organizing the
largest women's soccer tournament in the region—an accomplishment that brought joy and
opportunity to many. His passion for sports extended to the football field, where he was an
unwavering fan of the Oakland/Los Angeles/Las Vegas Raiders.
Above all, Lester will be remembered for his warm, kind spirit and unwavering dedication to his
family. He was a man who lived his life with love, humility, and a deep sense of community. His
generous heart and selflessness touched everyone who knew him. He leaves behind his
beloved wife of 57 years, Sandra Littlejohn, and his children, Troy, Edward, Patrick, and Lance,
who will carry on his legacy with the same strength and unity he instilled in them.
Lester was also a proud and loving grandfather to Jayla, Zoe, Benjamin, Avery, Jordan, Edward
II, and Kennedy. His family was the light of his life, and he found immense joy in spending time
with them, passing on his values, wisdom, and love of life.
In addition to his immediate family, Lester is survived by his dear siblings, Daisy and Perla, and
a host of extended family members and close friends who will forever cherish the memories of
the man who embodied grace, loyalty, and a deep connection to his heritage.
Lester’s story is one of resilience, love, and living life fully. He will forever be missed by those
whose lives he touched, but his legacy lives on through the countless memories shared by his
family and friends. Resting in the paradise he always longed for, Lester will remain forever in
our hearts.
