Kiersten Breanna Curran Obituary
On Friday March 17th, 2023, Kiersten Breanna Curran, beloved daughter, passed away at the young age of 15.
Kiersten was born with severe hydrocephalus on September 5, 2007, in Orange, CA to Debra and Brad Curran. When she was 14 months old, she suffered a devastating brain injury related to the hydrocephalus that led to a plethora of additional health battles she waged. She bravely fought more than any one person should have to in a lifetime. She attended Canyon Hills School her entire life, both on campus and at home. She loved music, snuggling and wheelchair dancing. She had a beautiful smile and a famous and funny “sigh roll” when she was annoyed.
Despite her challenges, she lived a full life and visited the beach, museums, zoos, parks, hiking trails, the Flower Fields and concerts, including Lady Gaga for her Make-A-Wish.
Kiersten was preceded in death by her Great Aunts Nicki and Diane, her Great Uncles Bob, Jim, Jack, Jim and Dwight. She is survived by her Mother Debra, Father Brad, Brother Trevor, Grandparents Nancy and David Dusenbury, Denny and Marianne Curran, Great Aunts Joan Danek, Beth Rose and Cecilia Segurson, Uncles David (Sonja) Kiseljak-Dusenbury, and Brett (Kelly) Curran, Cousins JD, Jenelle, Sophia, Karen, Gary, Joy, Cindy, Jackie, Jay, Pam, Sheila, Cathy, Bridget, Patrick, Dennis, (Karla), Michael, Stephanie, Shelly, Alain, Jeff, Jennifer, Allie, Chris.
A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the funeral mass. All are welcome.
