Karin Lembcke, a vibrant soul known for her boundless energy, humor, generosity, and compassion, passed away in her home on July 5, 2025, in Orange, California. Born on October 7, 1944, Karin lived a life dedicated to her family, her faith, and her community, leaving a legacy of love and warmth that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
For many years, Karin shared her talent and passion as an interior designer and a sales associate at the Design Center, helping others create beautiful spaces. Beyond her professional life, Karin was a cornerstone of Trinity Presbyterian Church for 45 years. Her unwavering faith led her to serve in many capacities, including as a deacon, contributing to Samaritan Care, teaching Sunday School, and dedicating countless hours to Vacation Bible School (VBS). Her commitment to her church community was a testament to her giving spirit.
Karin had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome, earning her the reputation of a great hostess and a "mom" to all. She cherished her role as Omi to her six beloved grandchildren, Jessica, Rachael, Delaney, Adeline, Jimi, and Wref. Her days were brightened by her cherished Tuesday morning girls coffee dates, her enriching bible study group, and the joyful gatherings with her DCA friends in her Birthday group.
Karin's life was a testament to enduring love. She would have celebrated 60 years of marriage this August with her beloved husband, Jim, who preceded her in death in April of this year.
Karin is survived by her three older sisters, Sigrid Kunkel, Helga Korte and Antje Hataway, her devoted daughters, Heidi Kaulen and her husband Ron, Sonja Healy and her husband Brian, and Nicole Chapple and her husband Wref, along with her adored grandchildren.
