Julie Ann Solano, a mother, sister, grandma, friend, age 60, born and raised in Santa Ana, California, passed away naturally on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. Julie was born in Santa Ana, Orange County, to her loving parents, John and Esther Menchaca. She spent her life rooted in the community she called home. She was an ambitious, hardworking, caring, and understanding woman, always present in times of need. Her kindness showed in countless ways—through her generosity, her listening ear, her encouragement, and her constant willingness to do for others. Julie had a rare ability to make people feel seen, supported, and valued. Above all, she was a devoted mother. Her love was steady, selfless, and unwavering, shaping the lives of those she cared for. Her strength, compassion, and giving spirit will continue to live on through her family and all whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Julie is survived by her five daughters, Sarah, Stephanie, Serena, Suzanne, and Samantha Solano; her two sons, Manuel and Matthew Solano; and her four beloved grandchildren, Daniel, Valerie, Jorge, and Jason, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her four siblings, Loretta (Schwary), Sandra, Doreen, and Roman Menchaca. A service to honor and remember Julie’s life will be held on Saturday, January 24, with viewing from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Mortuary, located at 204 W. 17th Street, Santa Ana, CA 92706.
