Jethro Guzman Obituary

Jethro Jouret Guzman was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle to many. Jet passed away in the comfort of his home and surrounded by his loving family after a long shift on July 5, 2024.   He is survived by his wife, Psyche (married for 23 years, and his son (Jayson 22) and daughter (Janessa 20).

Jet’s favorite holiday was Halloween and his hobby was creating immersive and breathtaking Halloween displays for the neighborhood to enjoy…even if he had to start in December of the previous year.  One of his most favorite projects was done with his family in 2022, when he constructed a Pirates of the Caribbean themed display, all in his front yard.

Whenever his wife, Psyche, or kids, Jayson and Janessa, asked to go somewhere, he would jump at the idea and be in the car faster than anyone. Anything his family wanted to do, he was there with them, and it goes without saying that Jet loved to travel.  He had a large map in one of his previous houses that had a ton of thumbtacks in it, showing the places he had been over his lifetime.  He would always talk about travelling to plenty of countries, especially Denmark, with his family.

Jet absolutely loved working with the Metro Transit Enforcement over the 11 years he had worked there.  At the end of the day, he took pride in the work he did, to keep those he loved safe.  He loved his job, his friends, and his family very much.

Jethro's love and compassion towards everyone he came into contact with had no bounds, his patience with everyone unmatched.  He would do whatever he could to ensure the ones he cared for and loved were happy, and he knew that at the end of it all, his family and friends were proud of him, as he was of them.
