Jeanne Marie Wintheiser

Jeanne Wintheiser passed peacefully on June 2, 2025 in Santa Ana, CA. Jeanne was
born at St. Mary’s Hospital, Minneapolis Minnesota on May 27, 1931, daughter of Leo
and Grace Prenevost. Jeanne met her future husband Robert Wintheiser in high school
while she was a student at Academy of Holy Angels and Robert was a student at De La
Salle High School. Jeanne married “Bob” on June 28, 1952, at the Church of the
Resurrection, Minneapolis MN. Robert completed his service in the army in 1955.
Jeanne and Bob then moved, with their one-year-old child Mary Kay, to southern
California. They raised a family of five children in their Tustin home of more than 60
years. Jeanne was a long time parishioner at St. Cecilia Catholic church in Tustin where
she was a regular volunteer in the children’s school including Wednesday Hot Dog
Days! Robert began his chiropractic practice in Santa Ana in 1977 where Jeanne
worked in the office until retirement in 1996. In retirement Jeanne volunteered in many
organizations including Casa Teresa, a home for pregnant women in crisis. Jeanne was
preceded in death by her beloved Bob in 2021. Jeanne is survived by her children Mary
Kay Sherman, Mike Wintheiser, Mark Wintheiser, Maureen Swink, Monica Davidson, 11
grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be held at 10 am on Thursday,
June 19, 2025 at St. Cecilia’s, Tustin CA.
