Janette Coon Younglove

Born in Wisconsin in 1928, Janette Younglove was transported to Riverside, Ca
at age 2 by her parents Dr George and Sue Coon. She and her 3 sisters attended
public schools through Poly High and upon graduation in 1946, Janette went to
Mills College in Oakland, Ca.
During summer vacation, she met her husband, Ben Younglove and married at
the Mission Inn in 1948. They were together 77 years til she passed over
Memorial Day weekend from Alzheimer's disease.
Janette assisted her husband in the family car sales business, becoming quite
proficient in car title searches and transfers until she eventually took jobs at
DMV in Riverside and later in Costa Mesa
The Youngloves built a 2nd home in Sandy, Utah when they moved out of
Riverside, splitting their time between Newport and Utah. Ben ran a construction
company but they were able to enjoy camping and hunting in Baja and Utah as
well as family vacations to Catalina on their boat.
Janette leaves behind Ben, her husband of 72 years, 4 children, Steve (&Anne) Younglove,
Marcia (&Pete) Shumway, Sue (&John) Simenz and Grant (Tig) Younglove, one deceased
son, Ben Younglove, 7 grand children and 12 great grandchildren.
Everyone loved Janette and will miss her dearly. The funeral mass will be June 12th at Our
Lady of Mount Carmel in Newport Beach and the burial at the National Cemetery in
Riverside at 12noon on Thursday, June 17th.
