BURICA, JACQUELINE (JACKIE)
Jackie Burica passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the age of 87. Jackie was born
in Indianapolis, IN on October 25, 1931. Jackie and her family moved to Southern California in 1941.
Jackie worked as an accountant, a teacher's aide, and worked as a volunteer at Hoag Hospital for
over 20 years. Jackie married Jerry Burica in 1964. They had two sons and raised their family in
Costa Mesa, CA. Jackie enjoyed traveling, bowling, gardening and spending time with her
grandchildren. Jackie is survived by her sons, John and Mike Burica, her daughter-in-law, Susannah
Burica, her grandsons, Chris and Matthew Burica, her niece, Sherri Towey, her nephews, John Towey,
Tony Burica, Neven Burica and Eddie Novak, her brother-in-law, Tony Burica, and her sisters-in-law, Tereza Burica
and Marija Novak. Jackie will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her.
A mass will be held on Monday, February 25 at 10:00am at St. Joachim Church, 1964 Orange Ave., Costa Mesa. The
burial will follow at 3:00pm at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, 7845 Santiago Canyon Road, Orange. In
lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Diabetes Association www.diabetes.org.
