Gordon Blair Mann passed away suddenly while out to dinner with his wife, Sheila, and friends on December 20, 2022.
Gordon was born on March 23, 1934, in Newcastle, Wyoming. He later moved with his family to Cheyenne, Wyoming where he spent the remainder of his school years. Gordon graduated from Stanford University where he met his wife, Sheila. They were married in 1957 and the next few years were spent moving across the country as he served in the Navy. He was very proud of his time spent in the Navy and on the Midway. After the Navy, Gordon joined Sheila's
father in the lumber business and the family moved to Orange County and has lived here ever since.
Gordon was an enthusiastic tennis player, an avid fisherman, and a devoted quail hunter. His favorite times were spent fishing in Montana and quail hunting in Mexico where he met and enjoyed lifelong friends. Gordon liked nothing better than spending time with friends. Coffee and lunch with "The Boys" was one of his favorite pastimes.
Gordon is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sheila, his daughter, Sarah, son-in-law Timothy Randall, sons, Christopher Mann and Michael Mann as well as 5 grandchildren, Thomas Randall (Katharine), Charles Randall (Tori), Lily Randall Bryan (Teddy), Catherine Mann and Jeffrey Mann and 1 great-granddaughter, Charlotte Randall.
Please keep Gordon in your prayers.
A private family Funeral Mass will be celebrated.
