Geronimo Guerrero Saldivar

Geronimo "Nico" Saldivar, 91, was born in Santa Ana, California on January 3rd 1928. He was the 7th out of 16 children born to Jeronomo Saldivar and Maria Bernade Guerrero. Nico married Ortencia "Ordie" Melendez and they had 7 children of their own: Albert, Nicholas, Lydia, Gustavo, Armando and Oscar. He retired from the Laborers Union Local 652. Although Nico never finished elementary school, what he lacked in education he more than made up for with love and hard work over the 91 years he walked this Earth. He built a beautiful home with his own hands for his family. His generosity and sense of responsibility often extended beyond family. He was preceded in death by his wife Ordie and sons Albert, Nicholas and Gustavo. He is survived by daughter Lydia, sons Armando and Oscar, 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
