George Ency Abraham (1954–2025)
George Abraham, a man who always knew how to light up a room with his vibrant personality and infectious humor, passed away surrounded by family on October 26, 2025, in Pomona, California, at the age of 71.
George, a resident of Santa Ana, California, will be remembered as a loving family man, a dedicated Angels fan, and a friend to many.
Born on July 11, 1954, to the late Ency and Jessamine Abraham, George possessed an innate charisma and passion for life. He was a natural storyteller and joke-teller, effortlessly drawing people in.
George served his country as a member of the United States Air Force at England Air Force Base in Louisiana where he earned Airman of the Quarter honors and completed his service with an honorable discharge.
He was the proprietor of S.C.S.A.(Southern California Softball Association/Screenprinting & Custom Sports Awards), a business that he started on his own to promote recreational sports for the community such as slow pitch softball, girls' softball, and travel baseball. He expanded this into a screen printing company that provided apparel and services to many schools, businesses, and families.
Throughout his life, George cultivated a deep love for baseball, collecting memorabilia and enthusiastically supporting the Los Angeles Angels. He also treasured family trips and making memories with loved ones.
George’s legacy lives on through his large and loving family. He is survived by his children - sons Jason (Alli), Mike (Michelle), and Jeff (Kim); and daughter Jolie (Phill) whom he shared with his first wife Dawn. He was a proud "Papa" to grandchildren Chloe, Lucas, Emma, Sam, C.J., Chase, McKenna, and Ty, with another grandson on the way.
He also leaves behind his sister Janice (Stefan), brother Richard (Debbi), and nieces and nephews David, Steve, Chris, Stefanie, and Kristin.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ency and Jessamine, sister Kathleen, wife Carol, and daughter-in-law Katie.
The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate George's life at the following services:
