Dolores Joan Peabody

Peabody, Dolores Joan, long time resident of Orange County, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Oklahoma in 1931, Dolores was a devout Catholic, loving wife, and mother to 5 grateful children.  Dolores was happiest at home with family, cooking enough food for an army, to be followed by large bowls of ice cream to end the night.  A tireless worker and shining example of devotion, spirit and selfless giving, her life was devoted to making the lives of her children better every day.  Dolores took great pride in her children and grandchildren, whom she always saw as God’s greatest gifts.  Preceded in death by her loving husband, Verne, Dolores is survived by her children Lisa (Flores), Terry (Jane), Tim (Nadine), Tom, and Tricia (Jason) Hopland, as well as her grandchildren, Colleen, Tom, Tim, Kelly, Michael, Nick, John, Matt, Mike, Laney, Luke, Bailey, Kinsley, Robert, Blue, and Shane, and her great grandchildren, Kaelyn Shae, Syvanna Grace, Sydnie Faith, Tessa Marie and Jason Josiah. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday July 27, 2019 at 10 A.M, at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Following mass, Dolores will be placed to rest with her husband at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange.
