Denis J. O'Donoghue

Denis Joseph O’Donoghue of Palm Desert, CA passed away peacefully on 1/2/2024. Waiting for him at heaven’s gates was his wife of 64 years – Maureen.

Denis was born in Blarney, Ireland and was the oldest of five children. In 1957 he left Ireland to venture to America, first going to New York, Connecticut and eventually making his way to Los Angeles, California. It was there he met the love of his life.

Denis is survived by their six children:  Sheila, Donal, Joe, Finbar, Kevin and Mary, along with two son-in-laws, two daughter-in-laws, eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Denis was a hard-working, devoted father, always providing for his family and worked in the railway system for over 40 years.

Denis was a devout Catholic, who truly believed in the “power of prayer”.

Denis will be forever in our hearts as we will never forget his unconditional love and guidance.

"Until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand !"
