On June 20, 2025, Delfino Gomez passed away peacefully, at the age of 89, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Since 1962, Delfino was a proud member of Laborers’ Union Local #652. He was committed to his union community, recruiting members and organizing campaign meetings. Delfino proudly earned Gold Membership status after 50 years of service with the union. Delfino was known for his dedication to a strong work ethic, a trait he instilled into his children.
Delfino found joy in the simple pleasures of life—soccer, boxing, dancing, traveling, and above all, adored time spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Sara, and his children: David, Mercedes, Natalia, Dolores, Sarah, Delfino, Estella, Victor, Mary, Rene, and Magda. He also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Delfino’s life was full, and his presence will be deeply missed. He is now at peace, reunited with God and free from suffering.
