Cesar Hernandez Obituary

Cesar Salvador Hernandez (Pay), age 89, passed away on Sunday March 8th, 2026, in Orange, California. He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  Known for his giving heart, and deep devotion to family.

Cesar was born on November 10th, 1936, in Manzanillo, Cuba and later grew up in Campechuela, Cuba.

He married Lourdes Muñoa on December 18th, 1959, in Guantanamo, Cuba they were married in the catholic church La Milagrosa. Together they built a life in Guantanamo, Cuba before making their journey to the USA ending up in Orange, California centered on family and a commitment to always providing for those they loved. He was the loving father of Lourdes Richardson and Cesar Hernandez. He was the proud grandfather of Eddie, Elizabeth, Jessica, Pedro, Natalie, and Rebecca.  Proud, great grandfather of Kamryn, Alexis, Anthony, Buddy, Easton, and Emma.

He loved family traditions, holidays (especially Christmas), and the infamous roasting of the pig (Noche Buena). Cesar will be remembered for his generosity and selflessness. He had a special gift for making people feel welcome, cared for, and valued.

Cesar lived a life defined by loyalty, perseverance, and love. At home, he created a place where family members and friends always knew they belonged, were safe, and loved.

More than anything, Cesar values were, hard work, generosity, and a deep devotion to family, continue through his children’s, grandkids, and the many people who were blessed to call him family or friend.

He is survived by his wife, Lourdes; his children’s, Lourdes (husband Rich) and Cesar; his grandkids, Eddie (wife Heather, kids Alexis & Buddy), Elizabeth (husband Jeremiah, kids Kamryn & Easton), Jessica (husband Daniel and kids Anthony & Emma), Pedro, Natalie, and Rebecca

His brother Eric (Poly) and wife Vilma; nephew Eric Jr (wife Nanette), niece Vilmita (husband Peter) and grand-nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
