Barbara LaPaglia Jackson, born in Rochester, New York on July 28th 1933, passed away peacefully on October 26th, 2018, after a long, hard-fought journey with Alzheimer’s disease.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Kathryn LaPaglia. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, her “Mr. Perfect,” Robert “Bob” Jackson. She is also survived by siblings Mary Varela and Richard LaPaglia, and her four children, Laurie Sieberg (John), Wanda Treitler (Mario), Lisa Nunez (Richard), and Robert Jackson (Nancy). Left to cherish her memory are her 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She loved to be active and travel, and spent many years water skiing on family river trips. Later, she and Bob toured the country with their RV group, the ORCO Rollers. Barbara was so kind to everyone and will be dearly missed.
Special thanks to the many kind care givers at Brookdale Yorba Linda, and to Barbara's very own special guardian angel, neighbor Holly Shaffer.
A service will be held at the Brown Colonial Mortuary chapel, 204 West 17th Street, Santa Ana, on Wednesday October 31st at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made by mail to the Orange County chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association at PO BOX 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
