ZAREMSKI, ANN IRENE
Ann was born on February 14, 1925, in Yonkers, New York to Emily and Michael Drohan. She graduated from the College of Mount Saint Vincent, Bronx, New York in 1945.
Ann enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1950 and was stationed in San Diego for a short time before getting married and starting a family, then becoming a full-time homemaker.
She was a loving mother, an avid reader, loved doing crossword puzzles and watching “Jeopardy” and was a 30-year breast cancer survivor.
She passed away peacefully on November 28 at the age of 96 at her home in Santa Ana, where she had resided for over 60 years.
She is survived by her son, Vince, of Santa Ana; daughters, Patty (Jim Benson) Zaremski of Torrance, Lori (Roger Light) Zaremski of Redondo Beach, Terry Zaremski of South El Monte and Monica (David) Sweet of Torrance; grandchildren Elizabeth (Matt) O’Malley and Tricia Light; great granddaughter Lillian Grace O’Malley. Ann was pre-deceased by her husband, Henry Zaremski and her twin brother, Frank Drohan.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 7 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 1344 S. Main St., Santa Ana.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. A celebration of life will be planned for January 2022
