VERA YATES WHITE, age 88, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, September 11, 2017. Vera was born July 23, 1929 in Kirkham, England. She immigrated to the US in 1955 with her husband, George and her 6-week old daughter to join her sister, Connie and her family. Vera lived a full life. She worked for Allstate Insurance for over 20 years, building lasting friendships. Vera volunteered her entire life, from her children’s’ PTA at West Orange Elementary to Meals on Wheels at the Orange Senior Center for 25 years.  She enjoyed hosting parties for her friends and family. She loved to sing, dance, and travel. But nothing brought her as much joy as her grandchildren.

            Vera is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, George White; daughter Penny (Gary) Nordyke, son Jon (Barbara) White; Grandchildren, Kristen, Alison (Rocke), Jennifer (Jason), Christopher (Kim), Natalie (Brent), and Julie (Taylor); and Great-Grandchildren, Nicholas, Ryan, Rylee, Seth, Mackenzie, Colin, Tanner, and Dylan.
