Stella M. Rivas

Stella Mae Lucero Rivas graced this earth from November 11th 1936 to May30 2018. She was born to Catarina Tellez Lucero and Federico Lucero.

Stella grew up in Las Cruces, New  Mexico. She had many siblings, Maria T.  Lucero, Mercy Lucero Rodriguez, Joe T. Lucero, Jimmy T. Lucero, Leonardo T. Lucero, Genevieve T. Lucero Tellez, Kelly T. Lucero Franco, Janie T. Lucero Morales, David T. Lucero, Fred T. Lucero, and is survived by Katy T. Lucero Soto.

Stella was a proud graduate of Las Cruces New Mexico High School class of 1956. 

She was a devout Catholic parishioner of  St. Callistusin Garden Grove Ca. and joyously sang her heart out to the Lord as a Choir member for 20 years. 

She also held a career and retired as a Meat wrapper from 1956 to 2002 and was  member of the Meat Cutters Union. 

Stella is survived by her Husband of 58 years of marriage to  Alex C. Rivas Sr., she had two children, Elizzabeth S. Rivas-Smith, Alex Rivas Jr. and three Grandchildren, Levi L. Smith,  Arianna Smith, Chad Rivas, and three by marriage, Matt Hanson, Ryan Hanson, Curtis Hanson.

Stella’s Beautiful Loving heart and soul capturing smile will be missed by all who knew her. Good fortune to those who have many memories of her to hold dear to their hearts.
