Jose De Jesus Ortega Martinez

Jose de Jesus Ortega Martinez, 72, of Villa Hidalgo Jalisco, passed away on June 26, 2018, in Santa Ana, California.

Jose was a hard working, affectionate and protective family man.  His pride and joy was his family.

There will be a Rosary and visitation on July 5th.  Visitation will be from 4pm till 7pm with the Rosary starting at 7pm.  Both will take place at Christ Our Savior Catholic Parish located at 2000 W. Alton Ave. Santa Ana, CA 92704.

Funeral Mass will also be held at Christ Our Savior Catholic Parish on July 6th, at 10:00 am.  Fr. Steve Correz will be officiating.  Burial will be the following day , Saturday July 7th at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery at 7845 E. Santiago Canyon Road Orange, California 92683.  Arrangements are by Brown Colonial Mortuary.

Jose was born in Villa Hidalgo Jalisco to Elias and Rosario Ortega on February 18, 1946.  He immigrated to Orange County California in 1962 and began working as a farmhand.  Later, Jose began working at Randall Rubber Company where he met Maria de Los Angeles Perez.  They married on August 16, 1969 in Santa Ana, California.  In 1979 he began working for Moser Grading and continued for 38 years.

Jose is survived by his wife Maria, daughter Angelica Felix and husband Sergio, daughter Vivian Gallegos and husband Richard, son Jose Ortega and wife Viviana, son Daniel Ortega and wife Joelle, daughter Karina Ortega, and daughter Jannette Bribriesca and husband Jose. 

Jose is also survived by grandchildren Amanda Amaya, Daniel and Ricky Gallegos, Natalie Ortega, Bryanna, Presley and Joseph Bribriesca, Aiden Ortega, Ashlyn and Troy Felix, and Abram and Diego Ortega.  He is also suvived by great grandchildren Isabel and Daniel Amaya, and Sophee Gallegos.
