Jon Burlan Obituary

Jon Robert Christopher Burlan, 57, passed away on July 9, 2019 from complications resulting from a stroke. Jon was a lifelong resident of California. He was born in SanDiego and was a long term resident of Orange County.
Jon was an accomplished and talented sound engineer, musician, and photographer who was a rollercoaster enthusiast with a deep love of all things Disney. He loved to cook and create unique culinary delights, especially hot and spicy dishes.   He will be remembered for his unique perspective on life which was living life to the fullest, channeling his inner child, and creating magical adventures  for his family and friends along the way.
Jon worked in the Audio and Visual  field for over 30 years.  He considered the community of his coworkers to be a part of his family.  His coworkers respected his professionalism and skill, and appreciated the comic relief he brought with him to every gig. He was a talented musician who was once in a band and he loved to play guitar, keyboards and mixing and creating music. One of Jon’s  life long ambitions was to ride all major rollercoasters in the United States. He brought us all along for every “ride” that he shared with us  through his impressive photography and video skills.  Jon  had a deep love of all things Disney.  He was an avid collector of Disney memorabilia and Disney history.  He had sincere admiration and respect for Walt Disney, and lived his life according to Disney’s philosophy which was “laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, dreams are forever”.
Jon is survived by his sister Caprice Blizzard, his sister Charmian Alexandria and her husband Neal Denisco.  His nieces and nephews Caitlyn Blizzard, Elizabeth Blizzard, Christopher Blizzard, Robert Denisco, Anthony Denisco, and Vincent Denisco will miss their “Uncle Jon” and the whole family  will remember the laughter and all the wild and silly shenanigans he brought into their lives.
He was loved and respected by all who knew him.  Friends and  family will carry the memories of Jon in  their hearts.  He was loved.  He will be missed.
