LANGI, Ileini, age 70, formerly of Toula, Vava’u, Tonga Island, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at her home in Orange, CA. Ileini married Noa Langi on March 25, 1970 and was married for 43 wonderful years until Noa’s passing in January 2014. Ileini was a devoted Christian and proud member of the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga, Mounga Sainai Church, Santa Ana, CA. Ileini devoted most of her life to raising her grandchildren and nurtured and loved each of them. In her lifetime she read the entire bible 21 times and made sure her grandchildren knew the importance of putting God first in their lives. As such this showed in Ileini’s career as a caretaker for over 25 years. Ileini was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Olive Fukofuka and her husband Tomu Fukofuka, 5 grandkids, Edward, Ileini, Simaima, Siuaki, Tomu, 1 great-grandkid Journey; son Inoke Langi and his wife Huavailiki Langi, 2 grandkids, Olivee, Sione Uhila; daughter Renuka Demelzania Manu and her husband Tauveli Manu, 7 grandkids, Atunaisa, Lupe, Feao, Conner, Ron, Siosiua, Tevita; daughter Enilokeli Tamotuu and her husband Latu Tamotuu, 6 grandkids, Selaima, Ilaise Teu, Vailea, Vaimoana, Noa, Inoke; daughter Louhuni Talavou and her husband Thomas Talavou, 3 grandkids, Jonathan, Lineni Edna, Kitione Jr; also 3 brothers, Tuipulotu Langi, Isileli To’a Ula, Sione Uili, and sister Mele Silua Hopoate, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit the Langi residence at 12622 Sweetbriar Lane, Garden Grove, CA 92840 on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.
Viewing and funeral services will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 6pm till 12 midnight and again on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 7am. Both services will take place at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Santa Ana immediately followed with burial at Fairhaven Memorial Park, Santa Ana at 12:30pm.
