Elisa Salcedo Obituary

Elisa Aguirre Salcedo, 69, of Fountain Valley, CA, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019.

Born July 20, 1949 in Guachinango, Jalisco, Mexico, she was the first of 10 children born to Indalecio Aguirre and Salvadora Santiago.

She married her loving husband, Lorenzo Salcedo on December 26, 1970 in Mascota, Jalisco, Mexico. They moved to the United States in 1971 and settled in Fountain Valley, CA. They were blessed with four children; Carlos, Lorena, Raul, and Javier.

She was a typical loving, caring yet firm Mexican Catholic mother.  Always with desire to keep family together and to make sure her children were always well cared for as she worked hard to provide for them. Her husband and children were the loves of her life.

She also made sure that her family that remained in Mexico were not forgotten and always taken care of. She helped her 3 brothers Jose, Manuel and Arnoldo when they came to live in the United States by providing a home for them and treating them as if they were another one of her children until the day they were ready to move on and create their own families.

Elisa suffered through the loss of her son Javier in December 1990 while on vacation in Mexico. As time went on, she was able to move on, but the sudden loss of her husband Lorenzo in September 2004 completely changed her, and she was never quite the same again.  She most recently told her brother Arnoldo that she was tired and that she wanted to be reunited with her Viejito.

She is survived by her three of her children and their spouses: Carlos and Marie, Lorena and Alberto, and Raul and Christy; her grandchildren: Carlos, Mariana and husband Joe, Robert, Karina, Jasmine, Isaiah, Anthony, Cynthia, Iliana, Lorenzo, Nathan, and Bella; her siblings: Amparo, Jose, Manuel, Arnoldo, Luz Guadalupe, Dolores Irene, Jose de Jesus, Jorge Humberto, and Luis Carlos.
