Robert Young, Sr. also known as Bob, Mr. Young and Uncle Robert was born on November 22, 1924 to Beatrice and Lula Young in Kississmee, Florida.  Robert was reared by his Grandmother Momma Young until he was 9 or 10 then he returned home with his mother who was then married to Jack Hall.  Jack raised Robert as his own child.  Robert had 1 brother Gilyard Hall and 1 sister Arlene Polk, he was the last one living of his siblings.  He received his formative years of education in the Orlando, Florida.
Robert enlisted in the US Army in 1942 in Virginia where he took his basic training. During WWII Robert was stationed in West Germany.  After the war in 1945 Robert decided to visit different states to find that certain job that he would love. He returned to Orlando and eventually moved to California.
While in California Robert would join the Laborer local 652 Union and stayed a member until his death.  He was a faithful member and a Deacon at St. James Baptist church in Santa Ana, California.  
On July 4, 2017 in Orange California Robert’s name was on the roll call list.  He is preceded in death by his fathers and mother, Beatrice, Jack and Lula, brother Gilyard, sister Arlene, three sons, Robert Lee, Rodney and Michael. 
Robert leaves to cherish his memories his children, Reva, Scottie, Miriam, Debra, Art, Charles, Connie, Robertha, Greg, Camellia and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He will truly be missed, until we meet again.
