Marion De Vol, 94 passed away February 15, 2017, in Santa Ana, CA.  She was born in San Francisco with twin sister, Maria on August 11, 1922.  They were welcomed by parents, Hannah Brennan Kent, John Sylvester Kent and four brothers, John, James, Clarence and Francis.  The Twins grew up in San Andreas, Calaveras County and enjoyed country living, climbing trees and hiking in the hills near their home and playing th their beloved Murray Creek.  While attending California College of Arts and Crafts, in Oakland, Marion met Austin (Ozzie) Orne De Vol.  It was wartime.  Ozzie was a Naval aviation cadet, later a major in the Marine Corps.  In World War II he served as a dive bomber pilot in the South Pacific and the Philippines.  Later, a jet pilot in Korea.  He was awarded 4 distinguished Flying Crosses and nine air medals.  Marion and Ozzie were married in Berkeley, July 27, 1943.  They had five children:  Dan, Tim, Diane, Daphne and Melody and ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  After Ozzie's retirement from the Marine Corps, Marion and her husband opened a pet shop in Orange, CA.  Twenty Four successful years later they retired and traveled the world.  Marion was predeceased by her husband, her son Tim, daughter Diane and grandson, Kent.  Viewing will be Friday, 2-24-2017 from 11:00AM to 12:00noon.  Funeral service will be held 12:00noon.  Burial to follow at Santa Ana Cemetery.
