Helene Mae Miller, 84, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on April 20, 2017.

Born in Long Beach, California on February 5, 1933, Helene and her family moved to Santa Ana while she was a young child, graduating from Santa Ana High School in 1950. She married her high school sweetheart, Tom Miller on July 19, 1952. Helene devoted herself to her family for 64 years. She was known near and far for being an excellent cook and pie baker, passionate bridge player and loyal friend. Her spirit, strength and laughter will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Miller, sons, Gregory Miller of Portland, Oregon; Douglas Miller of Orcas Island, Washington and daughter, Judi Miller Gaines of Tustin, California; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Merritt E. Kimball of San Jose, California and C.J. “Bennie” Kimball from Poulsbo, Washington.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at Brown’s Colonial Mortuary in Santa Ana on June 10, 2017 at 1p.m.
