Gregory Richard Gorney entered into rest on Friday, January 6, 2017.  He passed away peacefully at home in Anaheim, California.
Greg was born on January 28, 1962, in Santa Ana to Richard Frank and Carol Christine Gorney, the second of four children.  He was raised in Anaheim and attended local schools, namely Mattie Lou Maxell Elementary, Dale Junior High and Magnolia High School.  He learned welding during two years at a family business, an occupation that he continued professionally for another ten years.  He enjoyed auto restoration, motor cycle riding, playing guitar, fishing and attending NASCAR races.  Greg underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor in his late thirties, an event that marked a turning point in his life.  Recovering, he traveled around in California, Oregon, Nevada and Hawaii.
Greg is survived by his mother, sisters Dottie and Deborah, and brother Glen.  Greg was predeceased by his father. 
Funeral arrangements have been managed by Brown Colonial Mortuary in Santa Ana.viewing on Thursday on January 19th from 4-8 pm at Browns Colonial Mortuary in Santa Ana. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 20, at Grace Lutheran Church in Huntington Beach. at 11:30. Graveside burial will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange.
