Anthony "Maurice" Elston Jr.

Anthony Maurice Elston Jr. better known as Maurice was born on December 6th, 1993 in Anaheiim, California to parents Akimbi (Jesse) Jeffers Dumas and Anthony Maurice Elston Sr. Maurice was the oldest of seven children.

Maurice graduated from Gilbert High School in Anaheim, California. He loved music, barbering and cooking.  He was very gifted, talented and creative.  He could do anything he set his mind to. Maurice was loving, caring, compassionate, attentive, humble, outgoing and friendly. He was a protective son, brother, husband and father.  Maurice’s smile would light up a room.  He was loved by all that knew him.  He touched so many lives in the short time that he was here with us.

Maurice attended Westminster Good Samaritan Seventh Day Adventist Church since he was 2 years old, where he was baptized and met his future wife Amber Cherie Boulton. He and Amber had been friends from the time he was 10 years old and Amber was 7 years old.  Maurice and Amber started dating on May 10th, 2014. Maurice proposed to Amber on March 1st, 2016. Soon after, they were married on July 12th, 2016 at the Courthouse in Santa Ana, California.

Maurice worked as a cook at the Marriott Resort in Dana point, CA. He later gained employment at Letner Roofing in Orange CA, where he learned roofing, flooring, and different aspects of construction. Maurice was always eager to learn anything and everything. 

On October 30th, 2016, Maurice and Amber were blessed with a son, Jayden Elijah Elston. Jayden was everything to him. He enjoyed everything about being a father including late night rocking, singing and dancing, even changing Jay's diapers. Maurice's favorite part was making Jayden's baby food. Oh how he tried his hardest to make Jayden's food taste just like the food that we ate. 

Maurice loved to play the guitar, piano, singing  even rapping. He even wrote songs to Amber for their very first anniversary. Maurice also loved to play with his little brother, his nieces and nephews. They loved for him to be around and affectionately called him “Money”. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Amber Cherie Elston; son, Jayden Elijah Elston; parents, grandparents, 3 sisters, 3 brothers, 2 nephews, 3 additional sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law; 6 additional nieces and 2 nephews, plus a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
